The Gallery and Frame Shop are Open!
We will be showing a good deal of interesting, engaging art this summer and fall, starting this Friday, with a show called “CRITTERS.” You’ll be able to see it all on our walls and on our website, jonathanfrostgallery.com.
You can see the full show here online as a preview before you stop by.
There will be paintings of chickens, an owl, a chihuahua, and a llama by MAE TOWERS.
There will be photographs of dogs and ducks by LOU SAPIENZA…
…and a photograph of a chipmunk by JANA SAPIENZA.
There will be paintings of horses by BARBARA BEEBE…
…and photographs of horses by MADELEINE de la SINETY.
There will be paintings of birds and insects, and a papier-mâché sculpture of a chickadee nest, by SUSAN BEEBE.
There will be etchings of dogs and a montage of small paintings of a playful cat by JONATHAN FROST.
And there will be a mural evoking a forest full of all kinds of Maine animals, hand-drawn and hand-printed by second-grade students of THOMASTON GRAMMAR SCHOOL in a LEAPS of IMAGINATION! program.
In July we’ll feature pastels of rock formations by BARBARA VANDERBILT.
And in August and September we’ll see evocative abstract paintings on paper by BRENDA FREE.
There will be no openings this summer, but you’re welcome and encouraged to come to the gallery and see the work in person, and, of course, you’ll be able to view it online at JonathanFrostGallery.com. If you come – there’s nothing like seeing art in person – it’s better if you call or email in advance to make an appointment, even during regular open hours. 207-596-0800 or email@example.com.
The FRAME SHOP is also open. Again, it’s better to call or email in advance to set up an appointment.
GALLERY and FRAME SHOP HOURS: Wednesday – Saturday, 10:00 to 5:00. I’ll be wearing a mask, and I ask that you wear a mask. Thanks!
The artists and I are looking forward to this season, unusual and challenging though it is, and to having you see the work.
The Jonathan Frost Gallery is located at the corner of Main Street and Park Drive in Rockland. The telephone number is 207-596-0800.
