“Garden Of Earthly Delights” show at Jonathan Frost Gallery
On Friday, June 1, from 5:30 to 8:00, the Jonathan Frost in Rockland will host the opening reception for a show called “The Garden of Earthly Delights.” Carl Root will play the piano at the opening.
Douglas Smith and Sally Lee both offer scenes, in oil, of life in and beside the water: Lee takes us to the swimming pool, Smith to the beach. |

Among the delights of the show are animal portraits done by students in an after-school program in Rockland to benefit the Pope Memorial Humane Society and to let people know about these good-natured, handsome dogs and cats who are awaiting adoption. The students worked with teaching artist Mae Towers. This Arts in Action program is sponsored by RSU 13 Adult and Community Education. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the humane society. |
