Barbara Beebe

Painter and jewelry designer Barbara Beebe is truly a renaissance woman, whose enviable lifestyle is reflected in exuberant, color-drenched gouache paintings of her travels in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Costa Rica, and France, as well as her old farmhouse on a sunny Maine island. Raised on a North Dakota farm, she knows how to raise chickens and cultivate spectacular gardens.

“My favorite place to paint is on the small Maine island where I’ve lived for six months of the year for the past 26 years. In the island’s wonderful golden light and in the interiors of old island houses, I find many places and subjects that excite my desire to paint.
